Defibrillators are resuscitation devices that emit electric shocks to a person. Using a defibrillator will require knowledge in cardiology based around the sternum and apex. The electric shocks emitted by a defibrillator are intended to stimulate the muscle that is the heart. By stimulating the heart with electric shock, it will conduct a manual heartbeat, with the hopes that the heart returns to its original function. In order to purchase a defibrillator, a special license is required first.
