Auto Refractors are automated refractors used in optical practices. Auto Refractors are computer controlled machines used to measure the refractive error of a patients. By measuring the refractive error, a doctor can prescribe glasses or contact lenses. When a patient looks into the machine, a light is displayed within. The light will grow brighter then dim, which will change the size of the pupil. This will in turn determine the refractive error in the eye of a patient.
