Alta XLd centering unit and ALTA Z edger together provide a flexible and comprehensive solution which allow you to obtain significant optimization even for the most difficult task.
The Briot Alta XLd Centering unit and Alta Z Edger offer frame tracing, demo lenses, patterns, and edged lenses for superior lens fit. This advanced system recognizes all four frame dimensions, including the groove position, to ensure precise lens placement. It also allows for the tracing of either the right or left eye, or both, and can measure the frame PD and bridge. With a maximum measurable diameter of 80 mm, the PROS optical recognition system uses image treatment to significantly reduce tracing time. The included Digiform software package features a library of 384 jobs and 2048 shapes, with various search functions, including patterns and drilled shapes. Additionally, data can be automatically transferred from the blocker to the edger, and the Shapemaker function allows for the creation of new shapes from existing ones.
The centering unit and edger can capture patient decentering measurements, including ½ PD, PD, Δ x, Δ y, and boxing or pupil height. The centering function is adjustable in 0.05 mm increments for precise decentering. Additionally, the centering cross adjusts based on the type of lens, whether it is single vision, progressive, or bifocal. With controlled blocking pressure and magnetic adhesive blocks, the process is reliable and efficient.
