The Illiterate E Plastic Eye Chart is meant for use to test individuals who have trouble with language, such as children or foreigners to which the English language is not quite understood. To conduct the exam on an individual, it is recommended that the individual stand 10ft away from the chart, and to cover one eye whilst conducting the exam.
